TAKKE ONE SECOND
Takke One Second was founded by designer Abir Slim, who moved from Lebanon to the Seattle area over 25 years ago. The brand’s name, meaning "one second" in Arabic, reflects how life can transform in an instant. Abir’s journey began in hardship—after her father passed away, her mother supported the family through tailoring, working tirelessly to provide. Sitting beside her mother, Abir became fascinated by sewing, watching fabric turn into art and sketching her own designs with dreams of the future. Enduring challenges and inspired by her heritage, she eventually realized her vision, launching her own fashion brand in Seattle. Each piece is a tribute to resilience, creativity, and the power of decisive moments. Abir’s story is woven into every design, celebrating the determination and hope that carried her from a childhood in Lebanon to a new life and career in the Pacific Northwest.
